To show these seniors by our actions and donations we have not forgotten them and their lives matter.
- Ever increasing numbers of patients given subsidized TCM treatments.
- Providing afterlife services to more seniors who cannot afford even a simple funeral when they pass away (99 helped in 2021).
- Funding shortfalls due to drastic drops in donations: to avoid compromising our ability to deliver much needed help. No deserving seniors should be turned away or given less than what they need.
(1) To sustain and expand critical services preventing more seniors with constant anxiety falling into chronic depression and developing other mental/health issues .
(2) To finance and fulfil wishes of seniors through our Caring Heart Wishing Tree event on 1 Jan 2023.
Almost 40,000 patient visits were received in 2021. Delivering our services cost more than $1.5 million overall, projected to rise in the coming year. Our Enhanced Fund Raising (EFR) programme approval allows us to enjoy dollar for dollar matching for online donations. DOUBLE the impact of your giving and be eligible for 250% tax deduction! Thank you for your kindness.
Dear Esteemed Donor,
On behalf of all of us in Nam Hong, thank you, our friend and supporter! You have stood by us through good and tough times. We couldn’t have done it without you!
I am grateful to have been a witness these past 21 years – seeing with my own eyes how Nam Hong’s inspiring history has always shone a light for us, showing us the way forward. Over and over again, where we have come from, and how far we have gone, have been a comforting reminder of our ever-important work: that of reaching out to vulnerable members of our elderly population in Singapore.
Launching the Nam Hong Caring Heart Program in 2014 was a significant and necessary step taken to bridge the gap between our declared objectives and the real-life needs of our elderly. Today, this program has seen 729 seniors who were supported by our regular befriending visits, daily rations, and well-coordinated care activities. 99 of them in our free Afterlife Care program are placed under extended support during this last mile of their final journeys, enabling them to face end-of-life preparations with dignity and peace of mind.
I am proud to say that our Nam Hong family is filled with like-minded, capable, and passionate people; from our tireless board members own to our dedicated and compassionate staff. We all value every single supporter who has helped us in so many different ways to achieve so much these past two decades. Together as a united team, we shall forge ahead to care for even more needy seniors for generations to come.
